Lo que cuesta seguir a Cristo.

Y él les dijo: De cierto os digo, que no hay nadie que haya dejado casa, o padres, o hermanos, o mujer, o hijos, por el reino de Dios.
Lucas 18:29 (RV1960)

Cambiador del Mundo: Jesús siempre estaba exhortando a sus discípulos a mantener una relación cercana a El y con Dios Su Padre.
El sabía de las dificultades que muchas personas tendrían de dejarlo todo para tomar su cruz y caminar como verdaderos cristianos y el mejor ejemplo es el joven rico que le preguntó a Jesús, ¿qué podía hacer para heredar la vida eterna?.
Después de que Jesús le explicó los mandamientos y este joven le respondió que él había obedecido todo eso, entonces Jesús le aclaró que una cosa le faltaba: vende todo lo que tienes y dalo a los pobres y tendrás tesoros en el cielo; ven y sígueme.
Oyendo esto este joven se puso muy triste y se fue porque era muy rico (Lucas 18:18-23).
Jesús entonces declaró cuán difícil será para aquellos que tienen riquezas entrar en el reino de los cielos y que era más fácil pasar un camello por el ojo de una aguja que entrar un rico en el reino de Dios. Y no era por la cantidad de dinero sino por su amor al dinero y que éste era su dios (Lucas 18:24-25).
*Al igual que los discípulos, nosotros los cristianos nacidos de nuevo, pongamos a Dios en primer lugar y miremos hacia la eternidad porque ahí disfrutaremos de las verdaderas riquezas que Dios ha preparado a los que le aman, dejaron todo aquí en la tierra y buscaron el reino de Dios y Su justicia como una prioridad en su vida y por eso escucharán de nuestro Padre Celestial: bien hecho siervo fiel entra a tu morada eterna (Mateo 6:33, Mateo capítulo 25).
Hoy es tu día de salvación si recibes a Jesús en tu corazón porque El es tu esperanza de gloria y tu victoria para cambiar el mundo (Romanos 10:8-13, Colosenses 1:27, 1 Corintios 15:10, 57). Aleluya.

What it costs to follow Christ.

So He said to them, «Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God. Luke 18:29 (NKJV)

World Changer: Jesus was always exhorting His disciples to maintain a close relationship with Him and with God His Father.
He knew of the difficulties that many people would have to leave everything to take up their cross and walk as true Christians and the best example is the rich young man who asked Jesus, what could he do to inherit eternal life?
After Jesus explained the commandments to him and this young man replied that he had obeyed all that, then Jesus clarified that one thing was missing: sell everything you have and give it to the poor and you will have treasures in heaven; Come and follow me.
Hearing this, this young man became very sad and left because he was very rich (Luke 18: 18-23).
Jesus then declared how difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of heaven and that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. And it was not because of the amount of money but because of his love of money and that this was his god (Luke 18: 24-25).
*Just as the disciples, we the born again Christians let us put God in first place and look towards eternity because there we will enjoy of the true riches that God has prepared to the ones that love Him, left everything here on earth and looked for the kingdom of God and His justice as a priority in their lives and that is why they will hear from our Heavenly Father: well done faithful servant, enter your eternal home (Matthew 6:33, Matthew chapter 25).
Today is your day of salvation if you receive Jesus in your heart because He is your hope of glory and your victory to change the world (Romans 10: 8-13, Colossians 1:27, 1 Corinthians 15:10, 57). Hallelujah.
