¿Discípulos o Seguidores?

Y decía a todos: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese a sí mismo, tome su cruz cada día, y sígame.
Porque todo el que quiera salvar su vida, la perderá; y todo el que pierda su vida por causa de mí, éste la salvará.
Pues ¿qué aprovecha al hombre, si gana todo el mundo, y se destruye o se pierde a sí mismo?

Cambiador del Mundo: Hoy nosotros entenderemos que no es lo mismo ser un discípulo de Cristo que solamente un seguidor, ya que el verdadero discípulo está pagando el precio de su llamado, esta cargando su cruz, que se puede entender como el hecho de que ha tomado la decisión de no vivir para sí mismo y está diariamente siguiendo a su Maestro que es Jesús.
El desafío con el que vive un discípulo de Cristo es la asechanza de este mundo sobre su vida, para tentarlo y ofrecerle al igual que sucedió con Jesús los tesoros y las riquezas temporales que no tendrán ningún valor ni siquiera se podrán llevar el día que nos presentemos ante el tribunal de Cristo (2 Corintios 5:10, Romanos 14:10).
Las últimas palabras de Jesús a los Apóstoles fueron que predicaran el Evangelio e hicieran discípulos por todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el Nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo, enseñándoles que obedecieran todas las cosas que Jesús les había mandado (Mateo 28:19-20).
*No seamos pues solamente seguidores ni de los que asistimos a la iglesia una vez por semana por interés personal, ni por curar nuestra conciencia, porque el Señor mira nuestros corazones y nuestras verdaderas intenciones y aprendamos que ni siquiera el diezmar nos hace discípulos, sino solamente un verdadero arrepentimiento, conversión y una entrega que nos consagre a Jesús.
Hoy es el día de dejar de ser seguidores y pedirle a Jesús que Su gracia nos trasforme en Sus verdaderos discípulos (Romanos 10:8-13).
Cristo en nosotros la esperanza de gloria y nuestra victoria que cambia el mundo (Colosenses 1:27, 1 Corintios 15:10, 57). Aleluya.

Disciples or followers?

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?

World Changer: We will understand today that it is not the same being a disciple of Christ than just a follower because the true disciple is paying the price of his or her call, he or she is carrying his or her cross that can be understood by the fact that he or she has taken the decision not to live for him or herself and is following daily to his or her Master who is Jesus.
The challenge with whom a disciple of Christ lives is the lure of this world over his or her life, to tempt him or her and offer him or her, as happened with Jesus, treasures and temporal riches that will have no value and will not even be able to be taken the day we appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10, Romans 14:10).
The last words from Jesus to the Apostles were to preach the Gospel and make disciples on all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that Jesus had commanded (Matthew 28:19-20).
*Let us not be just followers or the ones that go to the Church once a week for personal interests, nor to cure our conscience, because the Lord looks at our hearts and our true intentions and we learn that even tithing does not make us disciples, but only true repentance, conversion and a dedication that consecrates us to Jesus.
Today is the day to stop being followers and ask Jesus for His grace to transform us into His true disciples (Romans 10: 8-13).
Christ in us the hope of glory and our world-changing victory (Colossians 1:27, 1 Corinthians 15:10, 57). Hallelujah.
