Y Jesús ahí no hizo muchos milagros.

Y Jesús les dijo: No hay profeta sin honra sino en su propia tierra, y entre sus parientes, y en su casa. Y no pudo hacer allí ningún milagro; solo sanó a unos pocos enfermos sobre los cuales puso sus manos.

Cambiador del Mundo: Una de las cosas más tristes para Jesús, fue el llegar a Su tierra donde Él había crecido en Nazareth y llegando el día de reposo empezó a enseñar en la sinagoga y oyéndole muchos se admiraban y decían: ¿De dónde tiene éste estas cosas? ¿Y qué sabiduría es esta que le es dada, y estos milagros que por sus manos son hechos? ¿No es éste el carpintero, hijo de María, hermano de Jacobo, de José, de Judas y de Simón? ¿No están también con nosotros sus hermanas? Y se escandalizaban de Él. Pero Jesús sabía lo que estaba en sus corazones y por supuesto también conocía acerca de la incredulidad de ellos y por eso les dijo que no había profeta sin honra salvo en su propia tierra, entre sus parientes y en su propia casa y se fue a otras aldeas y salvo algunos pocos enfermos, ahí no pudo hacer milagros (Marcos 6:1-6). Si eso le aconteció a Jesús, cuánto más a nosotros los cristianos nacidos de nuevo que con toda seguridad también seremos rechazados por nuestros parientes y familia, que no querrán recibirnos con la Palabra de Dios, porque tampoco seremos profetas para ellos ¿por cuánto más tiempo vamos a insistirles? *Las palabras de Jesús respecto a esto fueron que llegáramos a una casa y habláramos el Evangelio y si nos recibían sería muy bueno para ellos, pero si no nos recibían, que sacudiéramos nuestros pies de esa casa y nos fuéramos a otro lugar (Mateo 10:11-15). Hoy es tu día de salvación (Romanos 10:8-13). Y que por la gracia de Dios, Cristo sea nuestra esperanza de gloria y nuestra victoria que cambia el mundo (Colosenses 1:26-27, 1 Corintios 15:10, 57). Aleluya.

And Jesus did not do many miracles there

But Jesus said to them, «A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.» Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. Mark 6:4-5 (NKJV)

World Changer: One of the saddest things for Jesus was to arrive to His land where He grew in Nazareth and when the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue and hearing Him many were amazed and said: Where does this man get these things from? And what wisdom is this that is given to Him, and these miracles that are done by His hands?
Isn’t this the carpenter, son of Mary, brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon? Are not His sisters also with us? And they were scandalized by Him.
But Jesus knew what was in their hearts and of course He also knew about their unbelief and that is why He told them that there was no prophet without honor except in his own land, among his relatives and in his own home and He went to other villages and except for a few sick people, there He could not perform miracles (Mark 6: 1-6).
If this happened to Jesus, how much more to us born again Christians that for sure will be rejected by our relatives and family, that they will not want to receive us with the Word of God because we will not be prophets for them. For how long we are going to insist?
*Jesus´s words about this was that for us to come to a house and speak the Gospel and if they received us it would be very good for them, but if they did not receive us, we should shake our feet from that house and go somewhere else (Matthew 10: 11-15).
Today is your day of salvation (Romans 10:8-13).
And that by the grace of God, may Christ be our hope of glory and our world-changing victory by God’s grace (Colossians 1: 26-27, 1 Corinthians 15:10, 57). Hallelujah.
